VR escape room demo collab with 3D artist Zac Macintyre.

The setting is post ecocide earth. Humans have relentlessly taken from the earth's resources and now in retaliation the planet wants to take from us. Carnivorous and poisonous plants have taken over the planet. Vast areas are inhospitable to humans. This is heavily inspired by the setting for the classic Studio Ghibli film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.

There are three puzzles which correspond to the three musical cues. First you find yourself in a space with a locked door. There is an obvious missing part on the door mechanism, puzzle one is finding and correctly fitting the part. The first twist is that this doesn't actually open the door. You need to do more but what. There’s a mysterious seed pod sphere by the door with bones scattered around. The second puzzle is that you must feed the door your own hand to open it. Once you’ve made that sacrifice the door opens revealing a set of teeth. The third puzzle or challenge is to commit yourself to walking through the door and being devoured.
