Coming from a family of griots musicians, he finally met his instrument at 16: the Peul flute. He does it himself and learns to play it alone, by listening. Inspired by the Scottish flautist Ian Anderson and others like Magic Malik and Mamady Mansaré, he wishes to bring this ancestral instrument to a more contemporary universe, developing a particularly rhythmic and percussive signature playing.
