After THECODONTION and CLACTONIAN, I felt compelled to create a third project rooted in the primal aesthetics and mysticism of prehistory, completing a kind of "primitive trilogy" of my musical endeavors. This led to the formation of SUNKEN MONOLITH, my latest extreme metal venture.
This new project delves deep into the Neolithic Age, with lyrics and imagery drawn from archaeological discoveries and ancient forms of spirituality and mysticism. The debut release, simply titled "Demo", features three tracks that fuse black/death and death/doom metal, with songwriting influenced by bands like Portal, Antediluvian and Grave Upheaval.
For this project, I enlisted the help of A.M. on guitar and bass. He's the mastermind behind Vacuo (whose EP "To Languish and Despair" was released in 2023 by my former label, Xenoglossy Productions) and also a member of Kasus Belli. Additionally, the drums on this demo are recorded and played by L.T. (Svart Vinter, Incantvm and more), who has collaborated with me on previous projects. The demo also features additional vocals by my partner-in-crime E.M..
"Demo" is available on cassette and digital download and it's a co-release with Unholy Dungeon Tapes (Italy).
