granular studies by prismatic spray

This EP features five live improvisations done on guitar using the Make Noise Morphagene as a granular effects processor.

Guitar was captured live into a Boomerang III looper which was then sampled (and resampled) into the Morphagene and mixed with the original loops.

Note: The only post processing done was to remove some pops during the recording likely due to aggressively small settings for the audio interface buffer size.

Heavily inspired by glitchy ambient soundscapes and solo guitar in equal measures, I produce music at the boundary between tape music and live guitar.
