Ancient Sun from Towards Twilight by Probbie

I'm using Eloquencer's User Scales to constrain some of the somewhat randomised notes to my chosen chords, each pattern being assigned a particular user scale and thus chord. Shades 2 controls the gate probability of most lanes except melodies; Shades 3 the melodies.

Recorded live, directly to a stereo master, with no edits or overdubs. (Can’t “fix it in the mix”!).

Strings (pink, lanes A,B,C)
Chainsaw. Envelope provided by Quadra and both sides of 2HP VCA. Shape modulated by Shades 2.

Bass (purple, lane D)
Ts-L fold output AM modulated using Quad VCA by a passive mix of the pulse output via Disting D5 LPF and both sides of Twin Waves in sine mode (at 4th, and octave down, the latter being attenuated by Shades 3). Envelope provided by Quadra, Quad VCA. Fold modulated by Quadra via passive attenuator.

Melody1 (white, lane E)
Cursus Iteritas in Walsh mode. Variously modulated by 0hcd. Processed by Qpas in stereo. Envelope provided by Quadra into Qpas VCA and Q mod. Tilt and modulated by 0chd. Struct modulated by Lane H CV. Qpas Wildcard 2 modulated by envelope.

Melody2 (blue, lane F)
Plaits in harmonic oscillator mode (but Model changed by lane H CV) via Mimeophon, whose rate is modulated by a passive mix of two 0hcd outputs. Colour modulated by ADSR. Envelope provided by Z4000 ADSR using Plaits VCA. Morph modulated by 0chd. Timbre modulated by Shades 2.

Nebulae (yellow, lane G)
Chords - Blofeld 3-oscillator drone of two notes 4th apart.

Sequenced by Eloquencer in C# Minor.
Cloud reverb effect from Strymon BigSky added via the mixing desk Aux.

Audio captured via Yamaha MG12XU USB into Audacity as a Stereo master (no post mixing or processing).
