Process of Illumination's debut EP is an ambitious blend of progressive rock, instrumental music, and metal.

The title track, "Fifteen", highlight's the band's propensity for bright synth hooks, complex bass lines, and fast-paced drumming and strumming, while still taking time for more mellow passages.

"Forest Temple" was among the first tracks to ever be written by the band. Beginning with a guitar and synth dual melody, the song weaves through ambient drum sounds and an expressive guitar solo before arriving at the emotive climax featuring heavy classical piano.

"The Complex", another early song of the band's, features a brooding intro before flying headlong into a heavy synth, guitar, and bass riff that serves as the centerpiece of the song.
