Relics by Pathic

Relics consists of 25 tracks produced between 1997 and 2007.

Sourced from old DATs, MiniDiscs, cassettes, CDs and hard drives, some of these items were buried for more than two decades. But a lengthy period stuck at home during the pandemic allowed me to dig down into the archives and sift through many hours of recordings – Uncovering several forgotten about curiosities which seemed passable for public display, once they were held up to the light.

All of these old tracks needed some spit and polish. Some tracks were completely remastered from stems. Others just needed treatment with ears that are older, wiser and more sober than those which recorded them in the late ‘90s and early '00s. Everything received an extra benefit of analogue emulation mastering and the resulting 24bit files are certainly warmer and spritelier than their digital ancestors.
