Muted World by Muted
Muted World is Muted's debut album. It was recorded and produced between January and September of 2011 in Akureyri and Egilsstaðir, Iceland.
The album spans a field of many genres and features a lot of field recordings recorded in various places in Iceland.
Muted's idea with this album was to experiment with new styles and give an insight into the world of sounds he creates whilst maintaining a similar feel throughout.
The concept of Muted World was to let the listener into the world of sounds Muted creates. Muted spends a lot of time field recording so you can hear numerous sounds from his nearest environment in the tracks. The goal was to experiment with field recordings combined with influences from jazz/hip-hop and other genres Muted is into, combining field recordings, samples and synthesizers to create a unique sound.
