Woke up this morning with a weight so big could hardly hold my head up straight
Ain’t got it figure yet but trust me there’ll be some hell to pay
The road ain’t paved with masquerading daisies lining all your golden paths
The just might pull you down and leave you buried in the aftermath
Got something on your mind damn well better mean it
Your falling far behind words are cutting deeper

All wanna be a star all wanna live and smoke from that pipe dream
Rose colored glasses will distort the very image that you see
Look me straight in the eye and tell me do you see the color there
It’s not the way I look it’s not the way I wear my hair
Take what you left behind I am not your keeper
All of this wasted time is burying you deeper
