On some evening a few years ago I purchased a bottle of Washington State red wine from a small neighborhood mini mart. It was $9.99 and I loved it and bought more when the mood struck. I'd bring it home, pop it open, have a glass and write some music. This song is the product of one such ‘session’. I lived in Washington State as a youth and have very fond memories of the area so I'm not sure why I associated falling to pieces in one's mind with the place. This is another song that I had some fun with on the lap steel guitar and recorded two tracks and then panned them. On a lark I recorded a MIDI horn arrangement in the solo area that I intended to replace with something more serious. But I grew to love its silliness and adopted the part permanently. I still giggle when I hear it.
