Having already launched with it's baby brother White label, ReBoot Prague heads further down the Techno rabbit hole for a more relentless and all together hard hitting experience with the launch of it's bigger brother, ReBoot Black. Here comes the first such offering from ReBoot Black, and it is by Kerbcrawler with a remix by Sy Chan.
Kerbcrawler is a fledgling artist who impresses on this, his debut. First up is ‘Exit’, a rock solid, rib rattling track with well programmed drums that have real force in them. Elastic synths flip about to bring some dynamics to the visceral drive and spooky synths unravel later on for some head spinning moments.
The equally brilliant and muscular ‘Berlin’ is again cut from rock, but has frazzled, electrified dub chords rattling out from the centre and adding real breadth and depth to the kicks. Percussive patterns cut up the groove and are sharp and crisp, overall making for a real headline making track.
Remixing is Sy Chan, a Manchester artist who hosts the Sankeys Radio Show and has gained early support from artists such as Marco Carola & Luciano. His unique take on the track is turbocharged and raved up, with lively stabs, scurrying effects and rolling snares all adding up to one hell of a techno offering.
The last standout original is ‘Rage,’ an atmospheric and heady affair that keeps you on your toes as far off industrial sounds, clever filter usage and woody hits all demand you dance.
This is a no nonsense EP that offers dancers and DJs plenty of dynamite.
**Initial support from Carlo Lio, Bodyscrub, Luigi Madonna & Sasha Carassi & DMC World.**
