On gossamer wings the fairy sings
And glides right over the meadow
With her hair of gold
And her clothes so bold
And her boots of shiny green leather

I saw the fairy in the woods
A bathing in the stream
Her beauty was so magical
I thought it was a dream
Then she turned and walked away
And beckoned me to come
I walked down to the waters edge
The stream had turned to stone

I held the fairy in my arms
And asked her to be my wife

The answer that I gave to her
