Tsubaki Dance from Red Chard by Rich O'Meara
This is a commissioned piece for the duo of Kana Omori and Wes Crawford. This is their premiere recording, made separately in Japan and Silver Spring, MD. I am honored that they gave me permission to include it on my album. It was a joy to compose this piece for these amazing performers!
Wes Crawford uses Dream Cymbals, drums by Baltimore Drum Company, and Vic Firth sticks.
Kana Omori is an international artist of Adams Percussion, Encore Mallets, Inc., Fall Creek Marimbas, and Sabian Cymbals.

Rich O’Meara is most known for his compositions for marimba, which are performed throughout the world. His work has been featured in live theater, on the NPR program “New Sounds”, and the PBS documentary “Music Instinct, Science and Song". He has performed with Silent Orchestra, Colla Parte, Sandbox Percussion, Trio O, One Earth Percussion Theatre, Dan Deacon, and CMF.
