Distant Memory by Ringhold
DISTANT MEMORY is an EP released by duo Ringhold. It consists of 2 songs - Distant Memory and Cave. Both songs were long time in the making. Cave came first, to Eleonora, as a series of sensations felt during dark and still winter nights. Sinking in the living room armchair, feeling like being in a cave, in dim lights. Warm like a bark of wood. Dark green, almost blue, was the spirit color of this vision. Distant Memory came in the foot steps of Cave. The vision for this song was a brighter than usual moment of realising the fleeting nature of nowness that remains eternally present as long as it is carried along as a memory. The feeling of the songs came first and with time spent in the studio they developed a body and a melody and slowly were born as songs.
