We spent months divided by land and ocean. With our emotional distance mimicking our physical distance, we mutually decided that ending things was for the best. It wasn’t lack of love or commitment, just that we couldn’t make it work logistically. They had a life back in Sydney, and I was building the life I always wanted by touring.
