Proudly transitional, Smothered and Covered is a collection of songs that bridge Br'er and Ruah. Side A is a compilation of the more minimal, acoustic oriented songs that ultimately i felt should be out in the world but most likely wouldn't fit in the context of the upcoming Ruah album, but i think fit really nicely together on this album. The second half is a collection of covers that were made over the pandemic that showcase sonically where the project is headed, to be able to get inside of the songs which have haunted me at various times in my life and have a sonic dialogue proved to be helpful at allowing myself to move forward and be a (hopefully) a more open songwriter.
