For over 30 years Canadian multi-instrumentalist and singer Paulus Kressman has written, recorded and toured underground black and death metal with bands such as Weapon, Rites Of Thy Degringolade, Demoncy and Incantation, among others.

2024 will introduce many to an entirely new dimension with 10 original tracks of ritual illuminations in the form of a full length manifestation titled "UnderWorld." Ranging from triumphant dark neo-folk to ritualistic and martial ambient, PAULUS' music is shrouded in a sacred aura. Its apparent delicacy and simplicity and the naturalness with which the guitars intertwine in dazzling acoustic melodies conceal an uncommon emotional power. The circular structure of the songs is hypnotic, almost dreamy, perpetually poised between the materialistic world above and the spiritual world below. A dichotomy that PAULUS embraces, because one would not exist without the other.

Rubeus Obex and I, Voidhanger Records have merged forces to bring forth "UnderWorld" on both LP and Digipack CD formats, wrapped in an amazing cover painting by maestro Jaime Longa. A cassette edition will also be available via the Canadian label Small Offerings. May the spiritual trip be that of darkness to light and back again.
