Sandra’s Wedding were LOCKED DOWN. What else was there to do but internalise the angst and make Banana Bread?
11 original tracks written and recorded in living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms (nothing recorded in bathrooms, but it sounds better) between April 1st and September 1st 2020 the year of our Lord.
Our intention was to create a time capsule we could look back on to remind ourselves of this bizarre period. Think of those weird boxes they used to bury in fields on Blue Peter to be discovered by future generations…
The album travels like a DIY Chinese lantern from the macro to the micro. From the halls of power to the dark corner of a living room. From ‘them upstairs’ to ‘us indoors’. We had great fun creating this record and we sincerely hope you enjoy listening to it. From tiny acorns, self-produced releases grow.
