Honey from The Mother by Sat Sukh
Honey is a celebration of life and living. It was originally composed as a born day song for Julia Onnie-Hay, one of my first herbalism guides. The chorus was inspired by a Maya greeting: "Long life, honey in the heart, 13 thank you, no evil". The song also pays respect to Oxum, the Orixa of fresh water.
This track also features recordings I made of the night crickets in Miami.
