Discovery_v2 by Saturn Zero
Nearly three years ago, a new project from Mike Phipps (of the long-running darkwave/EBM/synthpop act Pulse State) was revealed: Saturn Zero. On its début EP, Discovery (Division X Records, 2012), atmospheric techno, old-school synthpop, and ambient house music territories were explored. Unfortunately, that EP has been unavailable for quite some time due to Division X's closure and dissolution.
Saturn Zero's first journey has once again been documented. Discovery_v2 comes with all six original tracks - including an alternate version of "Hidden in the Rings" by Joshua McAllister (Label/Detroit) that was also on the original Division X release - plus two previously unreleased cuts from the same demo sessions, all with updated production work to make them sound better than ever before. In addition, two all-new remixes from hEADaCHE (Uncoiled Loops/Chicago) and A Plain White Wrapper (Label/Detroit) round out this updated collection.
