Olaf Hochherz is an improviser and researcher whose interest is in the conjunction of instability and self-generation in sounds as well as their associative capacity. For these recordings he performs with a potter’s wheel, rotated by hand, against which various materials are laid, creating uncanny fields of richly textured sound.

Francis Heery uses synthesizers to speculate about non-human consciousness and the otherworldly nature of animal subjectivity. Stemming from his interest in science-fiction, surrealism and pre-enlightenment occult thought, he wants to see if the metaphor of music as a quasi-organic phenomenon can be pushed to breaking point.
