Air Almaniya by Drone Messiah
Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt (Chicago, Berlin) improviser, composer, employs his signature “accidental guitar” method on music of haunting, sonically jarring loops. At times cavernous and resonant as a cathedral, his recordings explore the depths of the drone, exploiting glitches and mutating overtones into chorus-like swells, mechanical revolutions and washes of beaded static. These meditations upon cyclical time and the ubiquity of the elements seek to elevate our natural world to pure and infinite tonality, soaring above us like mass aural hallucinations.
Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt continues to blur the line between improvisation and composition, using chance as the foundation of loops and drones that fill space and seemingly expand time.
This artist has over 500 album and compilation releases to his name.

"More horror drone from Aetheric.This is apparently accidental guitar music. A rejection of predetermined techniques and an embrace of spontaneous no-mind noise-making. SDCM doesn’t rehearse for gigs or recordings either so this Berlin-based American presents a collection perplexing sound oddities.
I’m guessing that the approach includes choosing your environment to record in and allowing whatever sounds occur to coexist with the artists creation though Lord alone knows what he’s doing amidst all the small sound events.
This is quiet beguiling music that seems to flow eternally – the 3″ format provides a snippet of gracefully unfolding sound in motion."
