Obsidian Whisper by Secret Archives of the Vatican
We call most of our current musical output Nu-Medieval music. It is not medieval music - it is modern music, for today. It uses many medieval and middle-eastern instruments and sounds, it uses some medieval musical theory (it is modal not harmony based) and it aims to take the listener elsewhere and elsewhen.
It is a soundtrack for those of us who have grown up with medieval-flavoured fantasy books, comics, games, TV series and films. It has echoes of history but it is music for now.
