Shamanic Tales Records is deeply moved to present "Asfur," a second collaboration between Pettra & Darwish after the iconic "Savta".
On October 7th, David (Darwish) tragically lost his eldest son, Laor, in the Nova Festival attack. In the wake of this devastating loss, Darwish and Pettra found themselves drawn to the studio. When Jonatan (Pettra) played the vocals he recorded, which translate from Arabic to "My bird, My little boy", it resonated deeply with David, capturing the profound pain of his loss.
The creative process behind "Asfur" was a testament to the healing power of music, offering solace and strength in the face of immense grief, and what it means to choose life and creation side by side with unbearable pain.
"Asfur" invites listeners and dancers to connect with their emotions while finding solace in the rhythm and melody, showcasing the therapeutic effect that dance music can offer.
