Shivé by Shantala

We’ve been blessed to work with some truly incredible artists on our single, “Shivé,” a tribute to the Divine Feminine. Heather composed this chant after returning from India, where she received her spiritual name, Parvati, from the Indian saint Siddhi Ma.

Shivé is a gentle Shantala chant including the exquisite voice of our beloved friend Tina Malia, the beautiful cello work of our longtime sister Jami Sieber, and the wonderful bass of our bandmate Sean Frenette.

Benjy and Heather Wertheimer have been leading kirtan worldwide since 2001 as the duo Shantala. Known for their special gift of bringing the audience into a vast and loving experience through their unique blend of exquisite voices with instruments of India and the West, they create music with beauty, passion, and reverence.
