I Daydream by Sine Mountain
Initially performed for a Data Cult Audio transmission, the piece stems from something my daughter wrote about daydreaming. Before recording, I had become swamped with everything, not involving music. I would steal time before bed or between meetings to imagine this patch in my head. I had an idea of using the Cicada (Physical Synthesis) as an expression source to modulate my beloved Atom (Elements clone). I would imagine the signal path. When the time came to record, I drew from those daydreaming sessions to guide the actual patching and most of the performance.
