EPIPHANIES presents Arjun Verma's unique-yet-traditional approach to Indian classical sitar, through improvised renditions of three traditional raags, including the first-ever published recording on sitar of Raag Madhumalati, a creation of the legendary sarode maestro Ali Akbar Khan.
Intimately recorded during a week-long residency at Airship Laboratories, this album takes a deep dive into the rich sonic palette of the sitar and the exquisite melodies of North Indian classical music.

Arjun Verma is a critically acclaimed sitarist in San Francisco. Arjun works within the tradition of North Indian classical music, as well as in collaboration with various other genres. Arjun trained with his father, Roop Verma, and with sarode maestro Ali Akbar Khan and his son Alam Khan. Arjun has performed at top venues including the United Nations, the Fillmore, Prague Castle, and on NBC TV.
