Kel, aka Elias Landberg of Skudge, with 3 analogue techno cuts for the 6th release on Jared Wilson's 7777.
Lead track "Phyta" is futuristic, sci fi indebted acid techno at it's best with the lysergic modulations pitched perfectly amidst a tumbling groove, snapping percussion and rusted chords that tend to float in the ether.
"Air Walk" is a combustile mass of rumbling bass, soaring keys and crunched up drum sounds that you'd easily mistake for a Specter production, whilst B Side track "Chiral" finds Landberg deftly crafting one throbbing groove.
Machines do speak a language understood and appreciated by humans. Measured by the success of Skudge, an artistic duo that has delivered a lot in a very short time. Combining their inspiration and talent through wires and analogue equipment, they seem to always present something new - in a very faithful style.
