Martin Skogehall follows his recent collaboration with Thomas Jaldemark as Fishermen with a six-track mini album for Skudge under his MRSK alias.
Six heavy tracks of unmerciful acid techno, this one is raw as hell, yet its track titles offer no clues: 'Absomnia', 'Mumra', 'Mongularis', only MRSK really knows what these mean, yet the feeling of explosive rhythm and sound is universal.
'Hurry Up' is insistent in its theme; 'Tailor' is a robotic warehouse special. 'Mumra' almost hints at levity, while 'Ruby is singularly nightmarish. Noisy and unhinged, this is simply explosive.
Machines do speak a language understood and appreciated by humans. Measured by the success of Skudge, an artistic duo that has delivered a lot in a very short time. Combining their inspiration and talent through wires and analogue equipment, they seem to always present something new - in a very faithful style.
