The "Joy" album was the first Sleeping Dogs Lie album with a lot of positive press in South Florida music magazine in the late 90's. This album is indie rock oriented, with a lot of odd creativity; you say that you've been looking for a cd with songs about telethon hosts, an armhair named "Jerry" Garcia, lost pets, dirty nuns, aliens, corrupt government officials, Ron Jeremy, the witness protection program, satanic boyscouts, bad computer salesmen, fat slobs, friends named Maria, Monty Python, disease, a beer drinkin' fetuses, presidents and mall rats? Dig this lo-fi indie rock gem. Jake Cline of Miami's CITY LINK Magazine proclaimed “David Geffen was missing out…” after giving it a full four-star rating.
