Down by the bridge with a larger each side

Throwing out quips and catching distain

But equally tender, jolly despite the rain


When we all moved, we crawled at a pace

Wind swept to clamber for our own place

But he clambered fastest to a fine looking flat

Lonely to say; the least pleasurable way


Wine coloured glasses left shadows for eyes

Smudging out doorways I wish that he'd take

What if he found us and tugged at our limbs

He wouldn't have left leaving flowers to wilt


So if you are alone in a room masked with tape

With one door outside as it rattles and shakes

Wipe clean your eyes and unmask your plight
