Staying true to the heritage of 90’s Sokol Keep, a series of session recordings produced in an authentic old-school medium

Equally, it is also an opportunity to highlight new and striking - if overlooked - artists in the various associated soundscapes of the dark ambient domain of dungeon-synth

Here, we welcome dark, raw and extremely emotive Dungeon-synth. Dripping with nostalgia, gritty, grainy even at times, perfect for the dank bowels of an ancient barrow. And I Love it.

Now, heed well my words, I will tell you of times past, of darker days, when a war with the Orcs was brewing and the King needed to unite the lands. To do this, the ancient Star of the West - as worn by the Rulers of Legend in ages past - was to be sought and returned to the King. The Star of the West resided within Barak Tor - the Barrow of the Witch King, the final resting place of the evil Witch Lord. A Company of four remarkable Heroes stepped up - The Blades of Folmär, led by Ser Folmär - to recover it, but the rest of the tale I shall leave for the Blades of Folmär to reveal, over two nights at the Festival of Imbolc, in the County of Dumnonii, insula Albionum, and by candlelight

In this sixth session, Sokol Keep has great pleasure in presenting 𝔈𝔱𝔢𝔯𝔫𝔞𝔩 𝔇𝔲𝔫𝔤𝔢𝔬𝔫 by the Blades of Folmär, an audio quest comprising four parts, told with the aid of Dreadbox Typhon Analogue Synthesizer, Roland Boutique JX-08, and a Sony TC-WE475 Cassette deck
