The Arena by Michael Wall

This is a special album for me for many reasons. First, it is my 50th release! Secondly, the two tracks are pieces that I performed live at Salt Lake City's amazing new music venue, Diabolical Records. Lastly, my son reads the "Man in the Arena" speech which has been a big inspiration for me my whole life. It has helped me continue to "dare greatly" in my art making.

Michael Wall has established a reputation as one of the most innovative and impactful composers in the world of contemporary music and dance. He currently writes over 200 new commissions each year for leading dance organizations and sync projects including Flockworks, Pilobolus, Charles Anderson, Seattle Dance Collective, and the Grammy-nominated album "Spirit Song" by his mentor Kenny Barron.
