Trepidation by Rich Mattson and the Northstars

Trepidation is the second single (the first was "Greetings From the Island of Guitars") from the upcoming 2022 Rich Mattson and the Northstars release OUT THERE, on Poor L'amour Records. The full length vinyl LP is expected to be delivered in mid-to-late November.

The jangly, mid-tempo rock of "Trepidation" features the close harmonies of Mattson and his partner Germaine Gemberling and a crushing chorus dripping in a helpless kind of sarcasm that basically defines the song's title..Webster's dictionary or otherwise.

Rich Mattson explains the lyrics as "An anxiety attack." One gets the feeling he's experienced such a thing. And he "Don't like it."
