Springz from Another Place by Dusky, Lucy Tun

Having built a hard-earned reputation as some of London’s finest representatives of the UK’s dance music scene, Dusky are a dynamic electronic duo who need no introduction. Despite boasting over a decade of experience, their latest single Another Place, released on Positive Energy, yields a palpable sense of freshness.

The first track from the single is the title track, Another Place, which is where Dusky take us. Characterised by strong notes of melancholy, partnered in tandem with an equally strong sense of euphoria, this track coordinates a heavenly balance between a contagious, bouncing bassline, hissing hi-hats, rising chords and breathtaking vocal work from Lucy Tun.

Springz is the second track from the single, and also dances through this heavenly union of delicate vocal work, rising melodies and an infectious bassline. Both tracks exude a strange sense of nostalgia, yet maintain a uniquely fresh feel, a perhaps timeless sound, from an equally timeless duo.
