Instant Connection from invAder by Steve Dale
Our protagonist decides to enter the establishment of the smiling moon. Discovers locals imbibing at a bar who all turn to look at the stranger that just rolled on in. He decides to sit down at a table opposite the bar and looks out the window, into the sunset sky, into space where his home is, when he hears someone approach and ask him why he's staring into space. Briefly explaining that's where he's from and how he's come to be here, he feels a strong connection with this person. They offer to chauffeur our hero around when and wherever he may need, forming a bond that could last for eternity?
