Dr. Kamikaze - bass/vox/keys
Thirsting Quench - guitar
d. augen - drums
There was no intention to make MiZeeKaka. But when Dr. Kamikaze showed up at the Sound Encampment in Wisconsin carrying a duffel bag of eggplant parm, a broken tape delay, and what he described only as “a proposal for the future of listening,” it was already too late.
Thirsting Quench, freshly back from a silent meditation retreat (he didn’t make it past hour six), plugged in his guitar without a word and began tuning in reverse. Meanwhile, d. augen of the Great Bustards—ever the enabler—fired up the daw and hit record before anyone had even agreed to be a band that day. Three and a half hours later, soaked in parm sweat and loose voltage, Mizeekaka was born.
Recorded entirely live at Sound Encampment (no dubs), this album is what happens when you lock three sound pirates in a room full of unfamiliar equipment and say, “do your worst.”
And so they did. A prelude to the Peanut Rituals in the Dwindling Circus. More to come...
