Credits
released July 5, 2013
Credit goes to Soundmine Studios for recording 5/6 of the Album. Including The "Pick-Up" Song, unfortunately the version recorded in the studio couldn't be used. All tracks would've been recorded in studio if not for cost issues. Major props nonetheless to Soundmine for being incredibly cool and working with a small town musician like me! It was an amazing experience.
Props to my amazing friends who stuck by me as I went through the writing process and the ups and downs throughout this year and last year. Coming to my shows whether they be all the way out in Philadelphia or Ohio. And of course listening to the tracks and coming to the studio with me to give critic and listen though. Major credit to Lance Francois, my amazing cousin, for being the one to get my foot into the studio, virtually starting this album up. If not for him, this album may never have existed.
Major credit to my Family for sticking by me and having faith in this album. For my Mom for giving me the idea for the album title because of difficulties we were going through. To Have Hope, to Stay Happy, and not to be struck down in tough times. Staying Strong. To Raymond Smith for quickly converting this little symbol I drew on car windows on my trip to Philly for a show with Plastic Harmonicas, so I could use it as album artwork.
To Ronald Bogart for being the sickest drummer ever. Like seriously, me and my friends joked that we might as well rename SunnyShading to just Ron. I think that's more catchy either way haha. No but seriously, you just with me despite how difficult I've been and how difficult life has been shooting curve balls and coming back to record with me each time. I'm sorry we couldn't get Faker out, and soon we will! I know we will and it'll be badass as fuck once the time comes. You've been an amazing contribution to this album!
For Steven Allen and Brandon Broschart for playing Bass. For Thomas Detrick for coming in to play Bass on one show. Seriously, those experiences were amazing and it later got me into actually picking up a Bass. One of these days soon I'm gonna buy one, now that I can concentrate on myself as a musician and expand my skills on all instruments. I swear, I'm picking up a Violin next haha!
For Jesse Morales for reminding me that as a musician I have full power over my music, not the funds required to make it fully possible, and allowing me to step back and actually fully finish the album after working on it so long. I hope to see how far both of us, along with everyone in the stroudsburg family, can go in this crazy and hard world.
To God for giving me the hands, the voice, and the feet to craft my creativity into one piece. For giving me the experiences, whether good or bad, that I could work upon and create something out of. I am but a Catalyst for these songs to transfer them through, what happens to them next is ultimately up to the Universe and God and I ultimately give myself up to both. A lot of things came in the way of this album and said, "You will not come out." Thank you for all those walls, thank for you giving me the ability to say,
"Yes it will."
Because it did.
