BUTES by TARKAMPA

Butes (2018) is the first recording inspired to the Argonaut that through himself into the water of the Aegean Sea, leaving the boat of Orpheus (or Ulysses in the Homer version). This very version of the piece was performed at VISIONES SONORAS in Morelia in September 2018, with great success.

The piece was only the start of an idea that in 2021/2020 became a big project about all the "butes" of literature, and the idea of exploration and risk in general, the idea of evolution and change.

TARKAMPA is an alternative band/project/label, active since 2010 , founded by the Italian composer & musician Riccardo Massari Spiritini. The roots of this music may be found in the European Kraut Rock, ethnic music, in the latest alternative rock, in improvised music, electronic soundscapes, and finally even in Early Music, Contemporary Classical, and Radio Art.
