Asa Tate announces new single "Pacific Samba" - out now – and forthcoming EP, out May 28.

Rising electronic producer Asa Tate - formerly known as Tech Support - releases his latest single “Pacific Samba”. The radiant track is the second offering from his upcoming four-track EP, out May 28, which also features "Tucana," "Dweller," and "Time Passage."

“Pacific Samba” is a homage to the golden era of early '90s dream house and progressive dance music - an era that first captured Asa’s imagination as a teenager. Driven by lush pads, dusty drum loops, and punchy basslines, it taps into a sound defined by warmth and positivity. “That era evokes such a strong feeling of optimism & unity,” Asa explains. “It shines through in the music—and that’s why it feels so timeless.”

The EP’s lead track, “Tucana”, released earlier this spring, is a euphoric, escapist journey through shimmering synths, 12-bit drums, and global textures. Inspired by Italian dream house pioneers like Don Carlos and Alex Neri, “Tucana” channels a utopian energy that feels both nostalgic and urgently contemporary. “I made Tucana at the tail end of last summer,” Asa shares. “I think there's a forward-looking feeling in that era’s music that’s really missing today—and that’s why I’m drawn to it now.”

Completing the EP are "Dweller", a more direct club track built for late-night dancefloors, and "Time Passage," a deeper, more atmospheric cut that leans into introspective melodies and ambient textures.

Asa Tate, and his former alias Tech Support, have earned support from tastemakers including Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1), Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6 Music), Huey Morgan, Maribou State, Jamie XX and Moxie. His music has received glowing press coverage from outlets such as Mixmag and Les Yeux Orange, affirming his place as a rising talent in the global electronic scene. His Tucana EP has also seen club support from the likes of Bradley Zero, Yu Su, Wallace and Demi Requismo plus radio play on Rinse FM, NTS, KCRW and Refuge.

With Pacific Samba out now, a full EP on the horizon plus shows in Nantes, London and Brighton over the next couple of months, Asa Tate continues his mission to reimagine the most soulful and euphoric corners of dance music history—blending vintage textures with forward-thinking flair.
