Sunset by Terra Spencer
'Sunset', Terra Spencer's fourth album, paints a spectrum of love through teenage summer romance, the anchor years of marriage, grief and loss, and the other side of goodbye. The stories in its dozen songs are told with the help of Ian Sherwood, Ryan Cook, The Bombadils, Stephen Fearing, Pillow Fite, and Matt Andersen. Terra returned to the producer's seat at Sonic Temple with a stack of notebooks holding folk waltzes, big band blues, and cinematic piano pieces to create the '70s wood-paneled warmth that has become her calling card.
