'Zoma' is a modern fusion between essences, pre-Hispanic resistances and electronic music. The flexibility of the Breakbeat / Big beat enhance and combine with the rebellious attitude of the ancient Mesoamerican cultures. The culture of the sample is present in 'Zoma', after an arduous hunt in Mexico City, the sounds of pre-Hispanic roots inject airs of freshness and strength to songs like 'R34L', 'Zoma', 'Spun' or ' Kingdom'.
Distorted synths, powerful drums and mind-blowing vocals work as hooks attached to the most digestible dance music to prevent the sound of pieces like '1 Life', 'Gun' or 'R153' from reaching the extreme of experimental sound.
'Zoma' is a contextual album, it responds to the Latin American reality, in resistance, to the sociopolitical, economic and cultural complexity of the world, for this reason it is natural to find softness in songs like 'Forget' or 'Sorry', at the same time to find darkness and subtlety in songs like 'H09909' or 'THRI113R'.
'Zoma' is a strong, dark and subtly aggressive album, it does not intend to adopt the position of guru, but as its translation in Nahuatl points out, this album, and each of its pieces, is a teaching, sound anthropology of ancestral cultures in balance with reality through music.
