Winter Songs by The Animals at Night

Winter Songs is an EP featuring two tracks I created using my Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II sampler and composer. The songs were crafted during serene Sunday mornings at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle, as well as in the comfort of my living room. Once the compositions were complete, I recorded them into Ableton Live through a pair of Hairball Audio Lola preamps I built myself, paired with my Universal Audio Apollo interface. The tracks were then edited and mastered within Ableton Live.

These songs served as both a creative exploration of the EP-133 and a personal retreat, allowing me to carve out time just for myself. Golden Gardens, one of my favorite spots to bike to, walk, and unwind, felt like the perfect setting to take my new sampler—small enough to fit neatly in my canvas bag—along with a pair of headphones, and create music by the beach. I hope you enjoy these songs as much as I enjoyed making them.
