Blown Covers. A few years ago, trying to record a rather overly complicated cover version of what is perhaps the most simple and no frills track of all time from Greenday (Time of Your Life), I finally gave up. six months later. What was my hangup? What was causing the dilemma? Why was I not having the time of my life? I have no idea. However...
With this album of cover songs I decided to treat every track in the following manner:
- Once a song is selected, there is no time limit for the recording or mixing process.
- Once the initial track is recorded, I no longer can listen to the original version.
I found that the creative allowance which naturally bowed before me like a ripe virgin priest came so easily when the Gods of AC.DC weren't hovering in my earphones demanding constantly to pay their creative tithing.
I hope you enjoy this album as much as I hated making it.
