Thanks to Sloth Hammer, Gloomweaver, Bismuth, Ommadon, Hundred Year Old Man, Primitive Man, Monarch, Wolves In The Throne Room, Godflesh, Icecross, Icelandic black metal scene taking the music side of that sound to all new levels!

All those changed my life when it comes to the journey of this album... and of course Koyaanisqatsi and Yellow Submarine.

Obviously there's plenty of other things in there as well, but these are the connecting dots in my understanding this time around.

1-4 written, drums programmed, practiced and recorded between December 13th and 16th 2022. Played live for the first and only time (so far) in Brno on December 17th.

5 & 6 written, drums programmed, practiced and recorded between October 11th and 14th 2022. Played in Orlová (October 15th) and Brno (December 17th).

No other work was done on these tracks or recordings, except for the final editing and EQing to complete this album.

I had aspirations to re-record these tracks, but then life, confidence loss, equipment problems, the broken laptop (see OWL107 for the story!) all halted these songs being touched, until on May 11th 2023, I reopened what remained and finished things off in an excited hysteria!

I also had in mind adding more layers, maybe guitars, vocals, piano, more sounds and effects, but that kind of defeats some of the point of this project and the amount I want to achieve and release with it; and b) after it taking 6 months to finally reopen the files, I didn't then want to obsess for another 1-2-3 years over all the extra sounds when I was receiving immense enjoyment hearing them just as they are now.

Yes, they are raw, and there are some mistakes here and there, but this was live, and it is a personal document of figuring out what I can achieve in only a few days of focus. There will probably be a revisit to these tracks later on down The Owl timeline (I hope to get to play them live again for sure) so maybe this will eventually be seen as a demo. Maybe everything can be considered a 'demo(nstration)' of what I can do, what I am learning, what I enjoy playing and arranging, and I am fine with that.

Most of the photos in the download were taken on another trip to Slovakia (Poprad), to continue the aesthetic and background story theme of Odyssey One.
