It reflects in the mirror, behind my eyes.
Lingering in the back of my mind.
Lurching and ready to consume me at any time.
Reanimate, reanimate to escape this self-dug grave.

Inconsistency distorts my mind.
I’ve come to terms that life is not a given.
Unruly thoughts that cross my path leave me restless.

Stargazing into the darkest nights.
The lights shine bright.
Sleepwalking onto the other side.

An escape from reality to rectify my past and present.

Dawn sets slowly and lush colors flash before my eyes.
Definition fades away as I close my mind. Cross to the other side.
