Olympus has fallen, new gods are calling
they sit upon melted down crowns.
Punishing the weak, though they cannot speak
laying claim to the sweat from our brows.

Soldiers marching ten along, a reminder who's in charge.
Blistered in their father's shoes, each one another segment on the news.
In unison they take a draw from cold and shaking hands.
Smoke billows in the sky.

Lock, stock, smoking barrels,
Comstock up for the new revolution!
Buy a gun for the price of your morals,
Moral Hazards. Resolutions!

We can use the shells to build our institutions.
Institutionalised for believing in their lies: everything's broken.
No one's perfect, and you're imperfect in every world.
Revel in your failings as every moment begins to unfurl.

Ruler and king, decider of sin, how thou art blessed with the sight!
The people believe that you can perceive their endless suffering, their plight.
Where darkness has fallen your prophets come calling, smothering all in your might.
It's something akin to the eradication of sin, save for the youngsters who fight.

Procession drawing nearer, intentions becoming clearer; another sermon is proposed.
The line men are in check, noose around their necks.
Many know they're never coming home.

COME MY CHILD YOUR LORD AWAITS!
JOIN THE COMMUNION, EMBRACE THE HIVE MIND.
DON'T ASK QUESTIONS, DON'T LOOK FOR ANSWERS.
YOUR THOUGHTS SHOULD BE OUR THOUGHTS. OUR THOUGHTS SHOULD BE
...PURE.

When the darkness falls too late,
Hold back your tears or you'll be found.
A new union to consumate,
The subjects hear the gruelling sounds.

Long before your prophet spoke to us, I remember another way.
In this darkness don't you try to put the blame on us, attempting to lead us astray.
No we won't stay.
