sentient electrons by Kevin J. O'Conner
These pieces represent a deliberate effort to step back from my usual process, in which I take out parts of what I've recorded to create the finished piece, and instead let the pieces stand as is.
As the titles suggest, this takes two forms. The "Pure improv" pieces are created through improvisation. The "Unattended" pieces are the result of establishing some combination of settings on the instrument and then simply letting things unfold without any intervention.
(Because the complete "Pure improv #3" in its 96 kHz/24-bit form exceeds Bandcamp's file size limits, I have uploaded the complete piece as a 48 kHz/24-bit FLAC, and then also uploaded the 96 kHz/24-bit WAV files in three parts.)
