Hailing from Lyon, Michel Anoia are making their contribution to this diversified realm with a particularly turbulent interpretation of the genre.

'Nervures' is extremely jarring in a way, but driven by a furious energy that is usually rather found in genres like Grindcore or even chaotic Hardcore.

When ever the trio slows down to a more sludgy pace, things tend to get even more ugly and intense - and the tortured vocal performance throughout the album ensures that the intensity levels are always at peak.

So if you thought French Black Metal has run its course as far as new impulses goes, Michel Anoia will prove you wrong. 'Nervures' contributes an angle to the scene that must be heard and will be felt.
