Austrian producer Awo Ojiji brings his Mantecatura EP to Scuffed, featuring four new intricately-crafted, bass-heavy cuts.

Making his Scuffed debut on the Scuffed Presents Vol.5 compilation back in 2020 with his track ‘Woozy’, Awo Ojiji quickly picked up support from the likes of Ben UFO, Chloé Robinson, and Madam X with his surgical approach to sound design and genre-dodging sound. Following up with his Ridicoloum EP on Eclipse Tribez in 2021, he marked himself as one of the most compelling new producers to emerge in recent years.

Now, the Graz-based artist - who is a long-time resident of the city’s disko404 collective - returns to Scuffed for a full EP, flexing the full range of his production capabilities across four eclectic tracks.

From the mid-tempo opener ‘Recess’, to the footwork-influenced ‘Stress’, bassweight-focussed ‘Balsam’ and percussive dancehall-techno hybrid ‘Inwards’, Awo Ojiji displays a unique slant across the course of the EP with tracks that are at once club and headphone ready.
